FUTURE FIT: Sustainability commitments for industrial decision makers
At Primo, we are committed to sustainability and have set clear targets across our operations to help our customers reduce their CO₂ emissions.
Through our FUTURE FIT initiative, we are continually exploring innovative material solutions, including recycled plastics, bio-based alternatives, recyclable materials and advanced material blends.
Our ultimate goal? To improve the sustainability of your end products by improving energy efficiency, extending durability, reducing maintenance, lowering weight and optimising overall resource use.
Not only do we want to be FUTURE FIT ourselves, we want to help your business achieve its sustainability goals.
A step-by-step approach
We recognise that sustainability is a journey of continuous improvement. Goals need to be reviewed, refined and adapted as industries evolve. FUTURE FIT is more than a strategy - it is a mindset. But achieving real impact requires collaboration across the supply chain.
We rely on our customers, suppliers and industry partners to share this commitment. Unless sustainability is a priority for all stakeholders, progress will be limited.
Sustainability benefits every industry
Some may assume that sustainability efforts primarily concern industries such as packaging, construction and transport. However, all industries have a role to play in reducing carbon emissions.
Whether you operate in the medical, offshore, transport or other industries, there are opportunities to integrate sustainable solutions. By co-developing with our customers, we offer strategies such as
- Recycled and recyclable materials
- Intelligent design to reduce raw material consumption and weight
- In-line manufacturing to save energy and time

Measuring your CO₂ footprint
Since 2024, Primo has been calculating the carbon footprint of the profiles we produce, ensuring transparency and continuous improvement.
Recognising the growing demand for environmentally friendly solutions, we have invested in a CO₂ calculator, developed in collaboration with the German company ConClimate.
This tool allows us to quantify the CO₂ emissions of the plastic profiles we produce for your products - helping you to make data-driven sustainability decisions.
Want to understand the carbon impact of your product?
Contact us for a CO₂ profile assessment or meet us at one of the following exhibitions:
