The merger of the gasket units in Germany will increase efficiency and production at a new facility in Buxtehude. This means that the Papenburg and Neu Wulmstorf plants will be closed.

Primo relocation can double gasket production

Production is scheduled to be moved in October 2022 and will be fully operational later this year. The new facilities will enable a doubling of current gasket production capacity. The factory is 9,300 m2 and will initially include 12 production lines for gasket with the opportunity for four additional lines.

New offshore production in Buxtehude

The Buxtehude plant also allows for a department with five new production lines of Primo's offshore production, which is headquartered in Sweden. This means that the offshore unit in Buxtehude will serve an important extension aimed at the European and global market of Primo's offshore business.

Work is now underway to put the organisation in place and prepare for the move.
